The foundation of every one of our projects starts with a series of research and development meetings. The first high-level meeting is used to establish a basic road-map of what your project needs to accomplish. After understanding and documenting your high-level requirements, we meet with the people in your organization who intimately understand the business requirements of your project.

After gathering the business requirements our team will develop a detailed specification of how your application will work along with technical details such as hardware requirements and software platform. The details of your design document will cover every aspect of the application including sample screens of how the final product will work. Based on the design document, we will provide an accurate quote of how much the project will cost and how long it will take to develop.

A member of the Precision Media Solutions team will present and explain the document and quotation to your decision making team. A follow-up call or meeting will be held at a later time to determine if changes need to be made to the design or if your organization is ready to move forward with the project.

Our structured design philosophy offers our clients a cost-effective product by reducing communications issues which lead to mistakes and change requests after the application has been developed. Our design philosophy firmly establishes expectations before a single line of code is written.

Private Consulting uses the traditional method of consulting where Precision Media Solutions renders our services to your organization for an agreed upon price. Your organization is responsible for all of the development costs and associated hardware costs along with the costs future maintenance and requests for additional functionality. In private consulting, you the client retain all rights and ownership of any products we create for you. Under contract, we cannot and will not re-sell your solution to anyone else.

Pooled Consulting has been designed to help our clients who do not have the budget for the project they have in mind. For example, your organization may have a $50,000 project in mind and only have a $5,000 budget. To help make your project a reality, our sales team will canvas a number of industries and establish a group companies with similar needs wishing to share the development costs. Using the techniques covered in our design philosophy, we create the design document for an application that meets the needs of all interested clients. Instead of paying the full price of developing the application, you will pay an equal share of the cost which is within your budget.

In a pooled consulting project, Precision Media Solutions retains all ownership of the final product code and documentation. Precision Media Solutions will re-sell the product as a commercial software product and will maintain the product with regular updates. As a client with a license to the product, you will be entitled to upgrades as they are made available.
