Doing More with Your Cerner Data
Cerner has limitations and you need solutions, not problems. As well as being experts in Cerner
CCL, we have years of experience developing applications on
many platforms including Windows and Web based technologies. Our talented team of developers have
the design, programming and graphic design skills needed to bring any solution you can imagine to life.
Along with being skilled in modern programming languages such as Visual Basic, ASP, PHP, Java,
Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex and others, our team is also skilled in graphic design and have a solid
understanding of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and video editing
applications.
The Precision Healthcare Solutions site was developed completely in-house by our
team using some of the technologies described above.
Regardless of whether you want to retrieve data from Cerner for an external use or would like to
put data in, we can accomplish anything you need. Please see our Case Studies
for examples of some of our custom application work.
Food for Thought
You likely already have a number of needs that Cerner currently doesn't meet (or are too expensive).
There are a number of applications that come to mind which we have implemented or discussed with our clients
in the past that have extended the functionality of Cerner.
Our most commonly requested external application has been downtime reporting. Downtime reporting can
be as simple as a web site hosting reports updated on a regular basis from Cerner, to a custom database
storing near real time information from Cerner. Both solutions are considerably cheaper to implement than
Cerner's PCLA product.
Developing custom applications that work with your Cerner data will dramatically improve the workflow
of your organization and reduce overall costs. Patients and external physicians can be granted controlled
access to specific data reducing inquiries made to hospital staff. Research projects can benefit from
normalized data extracted from Cerner. The list of possibilities are endless.
